The Astrology of Offer Design: How to Go Deeper than Your “House of Business”

This post is part of the Scarab Codes series, where ancient wisdom meets practical strategy for building something that actually feels like yours.

I need to have a word with you about the 10th House.

If you’ve ever Googled “astrology and career,” you’ve probably landed on some version of this: Look at your Midheaven! Your 10th House is where the career magic lives! And then you dutifully looked up your 10th House sign, read that you’re “meant for leadership” or “drawn to creative fields,” and thought… okay, cool, but I already knew that?

Your 10th House is important. But zeroing in on it as the end-all-be-all of your success as an entrepreneur is like saying your crown is your entire kingdom. It’s your essence, your reputation, your credibility, the legacy you’re building — but it’s not necessarily telling you what the actual work looks like. It’s the Throne. Not the workshop.

And if you’re trying to design an offer — a real, tangible, “this is what I do and here’s why you should pay me for it” kind of offer — you need more than a throne. You need a bit more astro-alchemy.

The 10-2-9 Triad: An Astrology Framework for Offer Design

Here’s where it gets fun (and where my MBA brain and my witchy brain start high-fiving each other).

There’s a technique in astrology called derived houses. It basically “turns” the natal chart so that a specific house becomes a new starting point. Instead of always reading your chart from the 1st House (you, your identity, your vibes), we shift perspective. We ask: What does the world look like from the point of view of my business?

When we make your 10th House the new “1st House” of your business, three pillars emerge that I use to map an entire offer:

The 10th House is the Brand, the Founder, the Business Itself. This is your public authority. The who and the where of your venture. Your reputation, the energy people associate with your name before they ever work with you. Think of it as the front door of your business — the first thing people encounter.

The 2nd Derived House (your natal 11th) is the Value, Pricing, and Outcome. In the derived chart, the 2nd house from the 10th tells us what your business owns — its tangible assets, its self-worth, and the results people are actually paying for. This is where your wealth codes live: what makes your offer worth every penny, and the transformation your clients walk away with.

The 9th Derived House (your natal 6th) is the transformation’s Delivery Mechanism. This is where philosophy meets practice. Using 9th-from-the-10th logic, this house represents how your business teaches, serves, and transmits its wisdom — the daily systems, the problem-solving, the actual rituals of your work that bridge the gap between your brand’s promise and the transformation your clients need. The 9th house is about higher purpose made practical. When we derive it from your business house, we find the mechanism through which your offer actually changes lives — not just what you promise, but how you deliver.

Your business as the 10th House is the vision. Your 11th house is the value. And your 6th house is where you make “transformation” a real thing.

Let’s See the Business Strategy in Action

Theory is great, but I’m a “show me the receipts” kind of witch. So let’s walk through a few examples.

The Writer with a Libra Midheaven

With Libra on the 10th, this person’s brand energy is all about balance, beauty, relationships, and fairness. People trust them to bring harmony and refined perspective. They’re the one who makes complicated ideas feel elegant.

Their 11th House (2nd derived — the value) lands in Scorpio. The value they bring isn’t surface-level pretty writing. It’s deep. They help people excavate truths they couldn’t articulate on their own. The real value of their work is emotional honesty, vulnerability turned into power, writing that cuts to the bone. That’s what folks are paying for — not word count.

Their 6th House (9th derived — the delivery mechanism) falls in Gemini. The actual process of delivering that depth is communicative, versatile, and mentally agile. This writer probably works across multiple formats — editing, workshops, voice note feedback, collaborative brainstorming sessions. Their systems are conversational rather than rigid. They ask great questions, riff on ideas in real-time, and adapt their approach to each client’s needs. The transformation happens through dialogue.

The Clients at the Door

People who work in the world of human connection — intimacy coaches, couples therapists, sex educators, somatic practitioners, community builders — who need their written content to feel as emotionally intelligent as the work they do. They’re drawn to this writer because their own brand lives in the relational space, and they need someone who gets that nuance without being told. They’re not looking for a content mill. They’re looking for someone who treats words like a love language.

The Offer Underneath the Obvious

If this writer just looked at their skills, they might default to freelance blogging or brand copywriting. But the chart points somewhere more specific — and more sustainable. The Gemini 6th house wants variety and conversation, so the move is a hybrid model: writing workshops for intimacy professionals (where the Gemini energy can teach and facilitate), paired with an editor-on-retainer relationship where this writer becomes part collaborator, part creative midwife. The workshop attracts; the retainer sustains. Both formats honor the need for intellectual stimulation and human connection. And the Scorpio value proposition — emotional depth that transforms — stays consistent across both.

The Systems OBM with a Leo 10th

Leo on the Midheaven gives this person a bold, magnetic brand. They’re the one who walks into a (virtual) room and people notice. They might be wearing a hot pink blazer in their profile pic, take photos at every event, and are simply not shy about being in the spotlight. Their authority comes from creative confidence, warmth, and an unapologetic “I’ve got this” energy.

But their value house (11th natal, Virgo) tells a different story than the front door. People might be attracted to the glam and the confidence, but what they actually pay for is precision, refinement, and organized genius. The ROI isn’t just “I have a system now” — it’s “everything finally works the way it should, and I can see exactly what’s happening in my business.” Under the hood is real infrastructure and SOPs.

Their delivery house (6th natal, Aries) tells us that the work itself is direct, fast, and action-oriented. This OBM doesn’t do lengthy discovery phases or slow onboarding. They come in, assess quickly, and start fixing things immediately. The transformation happens through bold, decisive action — “let’s just do it” energy. They’re not afraid to make calls, move fast, and course-correct later. The deep magic for this OBM is helping clients stop overthinking their operations and start moving.

The Clients at the Door

Here’s where the chart reveals something the OBM might not expect. Leo’s boldness doesn’t just attract other loud people. It attracts people who need that boldness modeled for them. The ideal clients here are founders from marginalized backgrounds — women, BIPOC founders, disabled entrepreneurs, spiritual practitioners building real businesses — or the quietly brilliant types who fall outside the typical “founder charisma” mold. Think: the trauma-informed coach who’s scaling beyond 1:1. The somatic healer who just hired their first VA. The tarot reader whose backend is held together by vibes and Google Docs. They see the hot pink blazer and think: “This person won’t shrink when I tell them where I’m going.”

The Offer Underneath the Obvious

Most OBMs position themselves as “I’ll organize your business.” This one should be in spaces where mission-driven founders gather — conscious business incubators, wellness entrepreneur communities, spiritual CEO masterminds — catching practitioners who are scaling beyond 3-4 people and desperately need someone to get things moving fast. The Aries delivery mechanism means the entry point should be action-oriented: a VIP day or intensive where they come in, audit everything, and implement the fixes immediately. Avoid multi-week onboarding, endless Loom videos. Prioritize decisive action that creates instant momentum. Then a retainer to maintain and refine. The niche is founders doing brave work in spaces that weren’t designed for them, who need someone with Aries fire to cut through the paralysis and Leo warmth to make it feel safe.

The Visibility Coach with a Virgo 10th

Virgo on the 10th means this coach is known for specificity, practical guidance, and a “let me break that down for you” approach. If you have a problem, they have a carousel for that. They’re allergic to hype and prioritize helpfulness. People trust them because they’re meticulous and genuinely useful, and often quite generous with their time.

Their value house (Libra, 11th) reveals that what clients are really paying for is relationship with self. The outcome is a more balanced, aligned version of the client who can show up authentically and build real connections. The ROI is relational harmony, like feeling healed enough to strike a new partnership.

Their delivery house (Taurus, 6th) means this coach delivers transformation through steady, grounded, sustainable methods. No high-intensity bootcamps or pressure-cooker programs. The process is slow, embodied, and sensory — building real habits at a pace that actually sticks. There’s an emphasis on pleasure, ease, and sustainability. This coach helps people become visible in ways that feel good, not draining.

The Clients at the Door

The creatives, the intuitives, the healers with a million ideas and no system. The tarot readers who’ve been told to “just post consistently” and want to scream. The breathwork facilitators who know their work is powerful but freeze when it’s time to talk about it online. They’re drawn to Virgo’s “I have a carousel for that” energy because it feels like relief. They don’t want a hype coach who’s going to tell them to “show up boldly.” They want someone who’s going to hand them a framework and say “here, start with this on Tuesday.”

The Offer Underneath the Obvious

Here’s where Virgo needs to be careful, because the temptation is to do everything — more templates, more carousels, more content, more availability. But Taurus in the 6th is whispering something different: slow down. This coach’s offer should center on sustainable visibility practices — not a content sprint, but a long-game approach. Think: a 6-month container where participants build visibility habits gradually, with plenty of breathing room. Or a membership where consistency is measured in seasons, not weeks. The Taurus delivery mechanism means the community itself should feel nourishing and unhurried. The Virgo desire for perfection is best served by doing fewer things at a higher standard, and the Taurus process means clients actually enjoy showing up rather than burning out.

The Financial Advisor with a Scorpio 10th

Scorpio on the Midheaven is intense brand energy (in the best way). This person’s authority comes from depth and their willingness to go where others won’t. They call it like they see it, and they often see shadows others are doing their best to ignore. People trust them because they’re not scared of the messy truth. And when it comes to money and finances, those messy truths can get really uncomfortable, really fast.

Their wealth house (Sagittarius, 11th) confirms it: the real value clients see in working with this financial advisor is expansion and freedom. It’s not just about managing money (though that’s part of it). The ideal client is looking for the real deal on what money makes possible when you’re finally free to use it on your own terms.

Their delivery house (Cancer, 6th) reveals that the work itself is nurturing, protective, and emotionally held. This advisor doesn’t just dispense advice — they create a safe container where clients can be vulnerable about money shame. The process feels almost maternal: they remember details, check in between sessions, and make people feel genuinely cared for through scary financial transitions. The transformation happens because clients finally feel safe enough to look at the numbers.

The Clients at the Door

People who are done with the surface — but more than that, people who are fleeing something. Sagittarius in the 11th craves liberation, and we crave liberation most fiercely after a dance with imprisonment. These clients might be escaping abusive marriages, disentangling from controlling families, rebuilding their financial life after addiction, or finally charging what they’re worth after years of underpricing their healing work. They’re drawn to Scorpio’s unflinching honesty because they need someone who can hold the weight of their financial truth without sugarcoating it.

The Offer Underneath the Obvious

This advisor’s content strategy should lean into that Scorpio edge: sharing anonymous financial horror stories, reacting to Reddit posts, running an inbox where people submit their money nightmares for real-talk advice on socials. Keep it anonymous and keep it raw — that’s how they build trust and authority simultaneously. But the Cancer delivery mechanism means the actual client experience should feel radically different from the edgy content. Once someone’s inside, it’s all warmth, safety, and nurturing. The offer should be high-touch 1:1 work — these stories are too personal for group settings. Think longer containers (6+ months) where the advisor becomes a trusted guide through major life transitions. The Sagittarius value promise is freedom; the Cancer process is the safe harbor that makes the journey possible. The niche is conscious entrepreneurs and spiritual practitioners who are building real wealth for the first time — and carrying shame about money that most financial advisors don’t know how to hold.

How to Apply This to Your Own Chart

Ready to try it? Here’s your step-by-step:

Step 1: Find the sign on your 10th House cusp (your Midheaven). This is the energy of your brand — how people perceive your business and expertise.

Step 2: Look at your 11th House sign. This is your “wealth code” — the value proposition of your offer, the actual outcome clients receive, and a clue to how you should price and position yourself.

Step 3: Look at your 6th House sign. This is your “transformation house” — the daily mechanism, the systems and services that make good on your brand’s promise. This is where the real alchemy happens.

Step 4: Check for any planets hanging out in your 11th or 6th house. Planets add flavor and specificity. Jupiter in the 11th? Your value might be tied to expansion and abundance. Saturn in the 6th? Your transformation process is structured, disciplined, and built to last. Mars? Expect action-oriented, high-energy delivery.

A quick note: If you’re using a whole sign house system, this is pretty straightforward. If you use Placidus or another system and your houses are uneven, you could opt to count the signs from your Midheaven. The principle still holds — we’re reading the energy of the sign on that cusp.

When the Theory Gets Tricky (a.k.a. Why I’m Here)

Okay, so I know what you might be thinking: Bree, this is cool, but what does Gemini in the 6th actually mean for my coaching business? And what if I have three planets in my 11th house and they’re all squaring each other?

Fair. The framework is simple, but the execution can get layered fast — especially when you’re trying to scale, pivot your operations, or decide between two very different offers that both feel right. Astrology gives us the map, but you still have to walk the territory, and sometimes you need someone walking beside you who can read the map AND has trekked the terrain.

That’s where I come in.

I work with spiritual, wellness, and witchy practitioners who are building real businesses — Tarot readers, coaches, healers, facilitators, educators, therapists — and I bring both the natal chart and a decade of product marketing strategy to the table.

In our sessions, we get specific: What does your 6th house actually look like as a service model? How do you price from your 11th house energy without underselling yourself? What’s the offer that honors your whole chart — not just the parts that are easy to talk about?

If you’re designing an offer (or redesigning one that isn’t landing), book a Scarab Session and let’s map it together.

One More Thing on Astrology for Business Strategy

I’m planning a follow-up series where I break down what every zodiac sign means in each of these three houses — so if you’re dying to know what, say, Pisces in the 6th looks like versus Cancer in the 11th, stay tuned. (And if you want those breakdowns delivered to your inbox as they drop, join the Enchanted Ambitions newsletter so you don’t miss them.)

Your brand is a vision. But your 6th house makes it functional. Let’s build something that honors both.
